Amidst the crazy whirlwind of daily life, from the rude awakening of those relentless early morning alarms to the mad rush of back-to-back meetings , to the deeply fulfilling moments spent guiding and training others, to the solitary endeavor of capturing and editing numerous workout videos , I've somehow managed to become a seasoned pro at riding the emotional rollercoaster, complete with the occasional mini-meltdown (and not just from my little ones! ). Juggling soccer practice , epic birthday bashes , and playdates galore , I'm like a superhero decked out in my Make Me Awesome gear, ready to take on whatever the day throws my way, no matter the weather, no matter the time, no matter my slightly questionable sanity .
For the longest time, I grappled with the notion that being a mom and a small business owner was like two worlds colliding, as though I had to switch between personas as often as I changed my outfit. But amidst the chaos of this unpredictable adventure, I've come to a remarkable realization: the wild journey of entrepreneurship and the unpredictable rollercoaster of raising kids are like long-lost twins reunited, not just sharing similar DNA but also a mischievous sense of humor. Who would have thought that parenting and running a business demanded the same copious amounts of coffee and the uncanny ability to handle unexpected messes with a grin?
The exhilarating ride of parenthood and entrepreneurship has pushed me to embrace learning and adapting, pivoting and free-styling. This thrilling journey, filled with tough decisions and calculated risks, often leaves my head spinning. I've become accustomed to anticipating the unexpected and striving to maintain a composed and resilient demeanor in the face of every challenge. But then there are those days when I feel disheveled and overwhelmed, trailing behind on deadlines, and scrambling to keep up with everyone and everything. It is in these times I question my every move and wonder if I'm truly cut out for any of this.
But amidst the chaos, are those glorious moments of victory and success that make it all worthwhile. I live for that accomplished feeling of walking out the door on time, with clean hair and a fresh face, wearing clean clothes pulled from a drawer (and not picked off the floor). My heart soars when I receive positive feedback from a client about how our sessions have empowered them. I feel on fire when I actually hit those deadlines like a boss! I’m energized when I witness my business take another step toward success. I’m pumped when I finally nail that squat workout video after an excessive amount of -numbing attempts. I’m filled with love and joy when I see my kids beaming from a great day at school. I am proud when I can get everyone to practice on time and I even consider myself the G.O.A.T. when I manage to pick them up on time too . All of these moments are like gold ️ - the moments that encourage me to keep going; the much-needed reassuring pat on the back from the universe, reminding me that maybe, just maybe, I do have a handle on things and that I'm doing it Awesomely.
Crazy as it sounds, I wouldn’t think of getting off this wild rollercoaster ride. The fear and thrill of every challenge and sacrifice is what makes this ride entirely worthwhile. It’s what makes me feel alive and what makes my life vibrant and meaningful. Yes, the rollercoaster is often far from glamorous, but it's not just about reaching the top of the peak or the end of the ride for me; it's the pursuit of my passions, empowerment, and strength that comes from pushing through the obstacles. I am proud to be a mom who's not only running her own business but also fearlessly making her dreams a reality. I’m humbled that with each step forward, I'm showing my kids—and myself—just how truly awesome we all are.
